We are currently recruiting on behalf of a major client, They are looking for a Substation Team Lead to join the team. The position can be based in either - Manchester, Warwick, London or Derby. 

Responsibilities:
- Design and Development:
- Lead the electrical design and development of High Voltage Underground Cables projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Develop detailed engineering plans, schematics, and specifications.
- Technical Expertise:
- Apply in-depth knowledge of high voltage electrical systems and underground cable design principles.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize designs for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Project Management:
- Manage the full project lifecycle, from conceptualization to implementation, ensuring adherence to timelines and budget constraints.
- Conduct regular reviews and assessments to guarantee the quality of designs.
- Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
- Identify potential risks in the design and propose mitigation strategies.
- Implement safety standards and protocols to minimize hazards.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with stakeholders, including internal teams and external partners, to align design specifications with project requirements.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and clients.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in the design and development of High Voltage Underground Cables projects.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Proficiency in electrical design software and tools.
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
