A globally focused innovation hub is seeking a Product Lead with a UI/UX focus to help shape intuitive, elegant digital experiences at the intersection of science and applied AI. This is a leadership opportunity to drive product vision and execution within a high-impact environment focused on solving complex global challenges — from healthcare to climate resilience.
This role sits within the Applied Machine Learning function and is responsible for delivering world-class user experiences that serve researchers, scientists, and technical users. You’ll lead cross-functional teams through the full product lifecycle, from early research to scalable implementation, creating design systems and user journeys that are as functional as they are thoughtful.
Your role as Product Lead (UI/UX Focus)
Own the end-to-end user experience for AI-driven products, balancing business goals and user needs
Lead discovery, design thinking workshops, and user research to uncover pain points and inform decisions
Oversee the creation of wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs in collaboration with engineers and designers
Prioritise product features based on a mix of qualitative feedback, business priorities, and product analytics
Guide consistent design implementation across the product ecosystem, establishing reusable design systems
Define and track UX success metrics to inform continuous improvement and validate product decisions
Experience and qualifications for the Product Lead (UI/UX Focus) role
5+ years in product management with a strong emphasis on UX/UI strategy and delivery
Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams across product, engineering, and commercial functions
Deep expertise in user research, usability testing, and translating insights into actionable design
Familiarity with modern design and analytics tools (e.g. Figma, Sketch, Mixpanel, Google Analytics)
Strong understanding of front-end technologies and how design translates into implementation
Experience working in R&D or technical domains, particularly within AI product contexts, is desirable
