Lead Quantum Computing Scientist

Paris
€100,000 -€120,000

Quantum computing isn't just about complex algorithms and cold laboratories. It's about daring to explore the unknown and redefine the limits of technology. Are you ready for this challenge?

They're not just building quantum computers; they're creating a new reality. Founded in 2020 and fueled by a seed round of $10 million, they're at the forefront of quantum innovation. Their unique approach? Carbon nanotubes. It's not just about smaller sizes or faster speeds; it's about radical performance that could change everything.

As their Lead Quantum Computing Scientist, you won't just be managing a team; you'll be leading them. Your team of brilliant minds will rely on your guidance to break new grounds in quantum operations. You’ll not only supervise but inspire, pushing the boundaries of quantum physics and electrical engineering.

Your job will include :
- Manage a team of quantum physicist and RF engineers
- Propose and supervise the developments on improving our gate fidelities and scaling the number of qubits. These developments include tasks like: designing and leading experiments at low temperature, designing on-chip microwave circuits, and setting-up and developing the electronic control bench.
- Propose the objectives of the team and define the priorities together with the CTO
- Define the work organisation, plan and divide the tasks between the team members
- Sharing expertise and findings with other R&D teams

Requirements
- PhD in Quantum Physics or Electrical engineering, Physics, Applied Physics, or other related field (or demonstrated industry experience)
- Minimum 2+ years of postdoc or R&D work in Electrical engineering, Physics, Applied Physics, or other related field
- Previous relevant experience with team management (at least 5 persons)
- Basic understanding of good software development practices, Python language, and version control systems
- Ability to distil and communicate scientific information effectively with the wider team
- Good communication in English (verbal and written)
- Experience with multi qubits electronic circuits /low temperature electronics/transport experiments is seen as an advantage

This isn't your typical R&D role. Here, your ideas won’t just be heard; they'll be celebrated. You'll have the autonomy to experiment, the budget to innovate, and the support to succeed. You're not just joining a team; you're becoming part of a mission.

Think about it - when was the last time you had the opportunity to genuinely influence the future? With them, that's your everyday. Don't just witness the quantum leap; be the one making it.
