This AI-first biotech is building a production-grade drug design platform to accelerate discovery across both small molecules and biologics. Backed by solid funding and already generating revenue, they’ve assembled a multidisciplinary technical team combining AI researchers, domain scientists, and software engineers. With a runway secured through 2028, the focus now is on expanding internal platform leadership to support the next phase of growth and prepare for a Series A.

The Role

We’re hiring a senior-level Immunoinformatics expert to lead development of our biologics platform – focused primarily on antibody design, optimisation, and modelling. This is a hands-on technical leadership role, combining deep antibody domain knowledge with practical experience in computational methods, AI, or physics-based simulation.

You’ll be responsible for shaping the scientific and technical direction of the platform, working closely with a multidisciplinary team of AI researchers, protein engineers, and software engineers. You’ll play a central role in aligning biology with technology, ensuring delivery of high-impact tools and models that meet the needs of partners.

This is a key hire ahead of our next funding milestone, with scope to expand the team and shape platform direction long term.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead scientific and technical development of the company’s biologics design platform
  • Translate antibody-specific requirements into computational tools, models, and workflows
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with AI, software engineering, and drug design teams
  • Serve as internal subject matter expert on antibodies, immune repertoire modelling, and biologics R&D
  • Act as technical interface with strategic partners and scientific advisors
  • Stay ahead of emerging research in AI for biologics and guide internal adoption
  • Contribute to long-term team and platform growth as the company scales

What We’re Looking For

Required

  • Deep understanding of antibody structure and function (e.g. paratope/epitope mapping, affinity maturation, developability)
  • PhD or equivalent experience in Computational Biology, Structural Bioinformatics, Biophysics, or related field
  • Hands-on experience applying AI, machine learning, or physics-based methods to biologics modelling or design
  • Strong software fluency (e.g. Python, structural biology toolkits, ML frameworks)
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and lead scientific/technical projects
  • Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences

Preferred

  • Experience with antibody-specific pipelines (e.g. repertoire analysis, RosettaAntibody, MODELLER, PyRosetta)
  • Familiarity with ML methods for structure prediction, property prediction, or generative modelling
  • Prior experience in an AI biotech or platform-based drug discovery environment
  • Comfortable navigating between research, engineering, and external stakeholder work

Why Join?

  • Collaborate with a high-calibre, cross-disciplinary team at the forefront of AI-driven drug design
  • Take a core leadership role in shaping the biologics strategy and platform
  • Work directly with domain leaders and real-world partners
  • Join a well-funded company with revenue, stability, and a clear roadmap to Series A
