The Role

The company is seeking a Senior Construction Engineer to lead major civil and structural engineering efforts across its expanding industrial construction programme. You’ll be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing large-scale building and infrastructure projects, ensuring they meet design intent, quality standards, and safety regulations.

This role combines technical leadership with hands-on problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration. You’ll work closely with contractors, architects, and project teams to deliver exceptional results within tight timelines, while mentoring junior engineers and supporting a culture of excellence in construction execution.

What You’ll Do

• Lead engineering and technical oversight for large-scale industrial construction projects.

• Manage construction operations, ensuring alignment with design standards, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols.

• Review technical drawings, specifications, and schedules to support efficient project delivery.

• Conduct site inspections, track progress, and ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.

• Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting throughout the design and build phases.

• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and stakeholders to coordinate project milestones.

• Support resource planning, cost management, and procurement of materials and equipment.

• Identify and mitigate risks, implementing proactive solutions to maintain project performance.

• Mentor and guide junior engineers and field teams.

• Promote sustainable construction practices and compliance with environmental standards.

What We’re Looking For

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Construction Engineering (or equivalent experience).

• 8+ years of experience in large-scale industrial or infrastructure construction projects.

• Strong technical understanding of civil construction (earthworks, foundations, buried utilities).

• Proficiency with construction drawings, design-build workflows, and coordination processes.

• Excellent knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.

• Proficiency in CAD, BIM, or other construction management software.

• Skilled communicator and collaborator, comfortable working in multidisciplinary project environments.

• Proven ability to manage multiple projects in fast-paced, high-stakes settings.

• Eligible to work safely on active construction sites in compliance with Health & Safety standards.

Preferred

• Professional Engineering designation (P.Eng. or P.E.).

• Experience with automated warehouse or industrial systems (e.g. rack support structures, ASRS).

• Familiarity with large-scale, design-build project delivery.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and precision.
