Scalability Engineer (Development/Infrastructure) - Kubernetes, Microservices Architecture, Python
Location: Remote (UK-based)
Salary: £70,000 - £110,000
Our client is a leading company in the field of remote sensing and communication systems, and they are seeking a talented Scalability Engineer to join their team. In this role, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining their Kubernetes-based microservices architecture, as well as designing and implementing scalable and resilient infrastructure. You will work closely with their development and infrastructure teams to ensure the efficient and effective operation of their distributed microservices infrastructure.

To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Extensive experience with Kubernetes and microservices architecture
- Strong Python programming skills and experience
- Experience with designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale distributed systems
- Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code and deployment automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and Helm
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Elastic Stack
- Experience with on-premises infrastructure and cloud environments
- Experience with container orchestration, networking, and security in Kubernetes
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a distributed system
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
As a Scalability Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Developing, maintaining, and improving their Kubernetes-based microservices architecture
- Designing and implementing scalable and resilient infrastructure for their distributed microservices infrastructure
- Building and maintaining tooling and automation to support deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting of the microservices infrastructure
- Collaborating with their development and infrastructure teams to ensure the efficient and effective operation of their distributed microservices infrastructure
- Contributing to the development of best practices and standards for their microservices architecture and infrastructure
You will enjoy a competitive salary of £70,000 - £110,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
