We are working with a fast-growing biotechnology company at the cutting edge of biological discovery. By combining a proprietary multi-billion-gene dataset with advanced AI and machine learning, they are redefining what is possible in genomics, therapeutics, nutrition, and agriculture.

Having recently closed a significant Pre-series C round of funding, they have scaled their data asset tenfold, creating one of the world’s largest biological datasets. The team comprises biologists, engineers, ML researchers, and field scientists who collaborate across disciplines to uncover previously undiscovered biology and translate it into actionable insights.

The Role

This role sits at the centre of multiple technical functions, including Genomics, Engineering, AI, Product, and Computational Biology.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating complex technical programmes, improving operational processes, supporting external collaborations, and ensuring that internal tools and infrastructure scale effectively. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys bringing structure, clarity, and momentum to fast-moving technical environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and execute initiatives across multiple technical teams, ensuring alignment on priorities, timelines, and outcomes.
  • Identify, design, and implement improvements to workflows, systems, and tooling to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Support and manage relationships with external research partners, academic collaborators, and technology vendors.
  • Oversee internal tools and systems to ensure they meet the needs of technical teams and integrate effectively.
  • Monitor cloud and HPC usage, costs, and scaling requirements, working with providers and internal teams to maintain robust infrastructure.
  • Assist leadership with resource planning, budgeting, and broader operational initiatives.
  • Improve documentation, communication, and transparency across technical teams.

Experience

  • Background in BioAI, biotechnology, life sciences, or a closely related scientific domain.
  • Exposure to large-scale AI models and machine learning infrastructure.
  • Strong, proven experience in technical programme management, technical operations, or a similar role within a technology-led organisation.
  • Proven track record of managing complex, cross-team technical programmes.
  • Strong organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with modern technical environments, including cloud platforms (e.g. AWS), CI/CD pipelines, data platforms, or ML infrastructure.
  • Experience working with external vendors, partners, or collaborators.
  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced, evolving environments.

Why Join

  •  Contribute to meaningful advances in biological and computational research.
  • Work alongside highly skilled scientists, engineers, and researchers in a supportive, interdisciplinary setting.
  • Help shape and scale technical operations during a significant growth phase.
  • Includes pension, private medical insurance, cycle-to-work scheme, and additional benefits.
