About the Role

We're on the hunt for a Head of Engineering. Who's ready to tackle complex problems and guide a team of about 50 engineers? You won't only be a boss; you'll be a mentor, a guide, a problem solver, and a navigator of a fast-paced, growing business.

You'll need to understand at least one area: software, systems, or networks. Your main focus? Engineering leadership and setting the right direction.

Your Mission

As a Head of Engineering, you'll wear many hats. Here's a taste of what you'll be doing:

1. Technical Leadership: Guide and mentor a team of engineers.
2. Growing the Team: Help the engineering team grow and meet their business demands.
3. Quality Assurance: Ensure the technical work delivered is top-notch.
4. Process Improvement: Find ways to make the engineering team more efficient and effective. Streamline their work!
5. Culture Keeper: Foster a culture of quality, safety, and compliance. Keep their standards high and their regulations met!
6. Technical Advisor: Use your tech know-how to offer advice and insights.

About You 

We're looking for a strong, people-focused person. Before you hop on board, you should have:
- Experience in a technical leadership role
- A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar field (a Master's degree would be a bonus!)
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles, best practices, and industry standards
- Proven experience in leading a team of engineers and fostering their growth
- Strong problem-solving skills, with a knack for innovative and practical solutions

Note: Due to the nature of their work, you need to have lived and worked in the UK for the last 5 years to get Government security clearance for this role. They support flexible working and are an inclusive, diverse employer.
