Cubiq Recruitment have partnered with a brilliant R&D company who specialise in bespoke and highly specialised communications technology. The company in question are going through an exciting growth phase and are looking to expand their capabilities across research and development as they look to take an exciting new range of products to market and supply key global customers. 

In the role of Embedded Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the development of Linux-based systems which work in tandem with bespoke and highly intricate hardware solutions. You'll be working in a team of three other Embedded Software Engineers, and be a part of a wider multi-disciplinary engineers across electronics, and application level software developers. 

In addition to a formal qualification within Computer Science or Electronics Engineering, suitable applicants for this vacancy will be able to demonstrate the following: 
- Strong C/C++ programming skills
- Knowledge Linux based software application for embedded platforms
- Prior experience of developing Linux device and kernel drivers
- Knowledge of hardware protocols - I2C, SPI, RS422 
- An appreciation of ARM-based processors
