An excellent opportunity for a Commercial Officer (Contracts Management) to join a global defence organisation.
The Commercial Officer (Contracts Management) will perform contracts management functions cross the spectrum of actions associated with providing supplies and services, from capture through proposal, contract award, and all phases of contract administration.
Responsibilities:
The Commercial Officer (Contracts Management) will provide business advice and guidance to effectively manage contract solicitations /capture, negotiations, and contract terms, including fulfilment of related obligations; Ensure contractual compliance with all laws and regulations, and adherence to Delegation of Authority and approval requirements for proposals and contractual actions; Lead and support audits; Ensure final contract documents are consistent with agreements; Manage, provide guidance on and administer multiple, complex contracts and relationships.
You will be able to demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the different types of commercial/contract models and how to use them; Ensures Terms and Conditions compliance, defining all risks and solutions; Independently identify, define and implement contract revisions and improvements; Organise and maintain contract files; Ensure timeliness of all contract actions and close outs; Keep internal and external stakeholders appraised of current issues; And ensure flow down of prime contract commercial requirements to suppliers.
Essential criteria:
- You will have previous experience as a Commercial Officer or similar Contracts Management role working on Major Projects / Programmes / Complex Contracts.
- Knowledge of the different types of commercial / contract models and how to use them.
- Keen attention to detail Strong analytical, report writing and organisational skills
- Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders at varying seniority levels
- SC clearance or ability to achieve is required for this role
Desirable criteria:
- MOD Contracts Management, Government Contracts or Major infrastructure contracts experience (high value and complexity)
- Business development experience (Capture management / bids)
