CNC Programmer
9 month contract – high likelihood of extension

Your role and your team: 
We are looking for an experienced CNC Programmer who will be hands on in the manufacture of revolutionary products.
In this position you will report directly to the Manufacturing Lab Leader and will work on a variety of projects and tasks. As part of this role, you will be working in the Manufacturing Centre operating and programming state-of-the-art 5ax CNC-Machines (GROB, MAZAK). Furthermore, you will assist the engineering teams by providing feedback for design improvements to the product.

Your Day to Day:
- Work in a self-directed team of CNC Experts 
- Independent set-up and adjustment of state-of-the-art 5ax CNC-Machines operating (stainless-)steel, aluminium and titanium alloys.
- Programming of components on the machine (Siemens 840D, Mazatrol SmoothX)
- Independent control of components with modern measuring equipment (dimensions and tolerances)
- Assistance in the continuous process optimization of workflows
- Independent work with conventional manufacturing processes (milling, turning)
- Maintenance and servicing of the machines, as well as ensuring order and cleanliness at your workplace
- Work cross functionally with related departments 
- e.g. work with Manufacturing Engineering to improve processes, equipment & tooling, and machining efficiency.
- e.g. improve manufacturing standards and process requirements
- e.g. support digital improvements and innovations while working with manufacturing execution systems
- Assist Manufacturing Lab team in development of tooling and new equipment commissioning and implementation.
  
Your Profile:
- Educational background as CNC technician required
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in CNC job setup
- Minimum of 2 year’s Experience with 5 axis Machining centre required
- Must be able to work from complex and detailed documentation and/or verbal and written instructions depending on situation
- Ability to read and understand manufacturing instructions setup sheets.
- Experience with operating and maintaining a wide variety of hand and power tools, shop tools, test equipment. Experience operating high volume production machinery preferred.
- Experience in Conversational Programming (Siemens 840D and/or Mazatrol SmoothX)
- Optimize the life and use of cutting tools
- Serious Interest for CAM Programming (hyperMILL)
- High level of self-reliance with the ability to work both in a team and autonomously
- Good English language skills required, German language is a plus
