Backend Developer (Node.js / TypeScript) – Remote

As a Backend Engineer, you’ll shape the core architecture and infrastructure powering their identity verification platform. This is a high-impact role where your work will support millions of users globally.

What you’ll do:

• Design and build scalable, secure, and robust backend systems

• Collaborate closely with product, frontend, and operations teams to deliver seamless solutions

• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and WebSocket connections for fast, secure integrations

• Continuously optimise system performance, reliability, and security

• Write clean, efficient, maintainable code with scalability in mind

Tech Stack:

• Languages: Node.js, TypeScript

• Frameworks: Nest.js

• Databases: MySQL, MongoDB

• APIs: RESTful, WebSocket, GraphQL

• DevOps: Docker, GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline

• Cloud: AWS, GCP

What you’ll bring:

• 3+ years of backend development experience using Node.js and TypeScript

• Proficient with MySQL and MongoDB databases

• Solid experience with RESTful API and WebSocket development

• Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-growth startup environments

• Familiar with microservices architecture and Docker

• Interest in digital identity, cybersecurity, or related technologies is a plus
