About the Company

This European space engineering company designs and builds next-generation small satellite platforms and advanced technologies for future missions in orbit and beyond. With a vertically integrated approach that spans design, manufacturing, integration, and testing, the company delivers end-to-end solutions that help redefine accessibility and reliability in space systems.

At its state-of-the-art facilities, teams of engineers and scientists collaborate on projects ranging from microsatellite platforms to innovative life-support products for human spaceflight — all driven by a shared vision to make space more connected, sustainable, and human-centred.

The Role

The company is looking for an Assembly, Integration & Test (AIT) Engineer to join its satellite development division. In this role, you’ll be responsible for supporting the design, integration, and verification of small satellite platforms and subsystems throughout their full lifecycle — from concept to launch readiness.

You’ll work hands-on with hardware, develop test setups, and contribute to integration campaigns in cleanroom environments. This position is ideal for an engineer who enjoys practical problem-solving, precision, and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

What You’ll Do

  • Participate in the mechanical and electrical integration of satellite platforms and subsystems.

  • Design and implement Ground Support Equipment (GSE) for integration and testing activities.

  • Develop and execute integration and test procedures in ISO-class cleanroom facilities.

  • Support verification and validation activities to ensure compliance with mission and performance requirements.

  • Contribute to the preparation and execution of environmental and functional test campaigns.

  • Collaborate closely with systems, mechanical, and electrical engineers to optimise design for integration.

  • Provide on-site support for launch preparation and operational readiness.

  • Maintain detailed technical documentation and test reports throughout the project lifecycle.

What We’re Looking For

Required

  • Technical degree in aerospace, mechanical, or industrial engineering (or equivalent experience).

  • At least 2 years’ experience in satellite assembly, integration, or testing within the space or high-tech industry.

  • Solid understanding of mechanical systems, electrical interfaces, and test instrumentation.

  • Proficiency with 3D CAD tools (e.g. SolidWorks, Creo, or CATIA).

  • Hands-on experience working with laboratory tools and measurement equipment.

  • Strong communication and technical documentation skills in English.

  • Attention to detail and commitment to precision work.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with product lifecycle management and quality standards (e.g. ISO 9001, ECSS, or AS9100).

  • Knowledge of composite materials, additive manufacturing, or cleanroom operations.

  • Basic understanding of data acquisition and control systems.

  • Experience supporting launch campaigns or environmental test facilities.

  • Italian language skills or experience working in European aerospace projects.

Why Join?

  • Be part of a fast-growing European space company building the next generation of small satellite platforms.

  • Work across the full mission lifecycle — from concept to orbit.

  • Collaborate with passionate experts in a diverse, inclusive environment.

  • Access to continuous learning and professional development opportunities.

  • Flexible working arrangements and competitive compensation.
